We are very proud of our successful start of our new school year. Our success hinges on the support and positive relationships between teachers, students and parents.
Parent-Teacher conference time is our opportunity to continue to strengthen our partnership with each other in relationship to the education of your child. Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for September 13th and 14th. During conferences, teachers will share 1st Quarter grades, benchmark data, and other general information on classroom performance.
Teachers in grades 3rd-5th may recommend intersession classes in Math and/or Reading which will be offered during our break, starting on September 24th. The curriculum will focus on Arizona College and Career Ready Standards of the grade level. In addition to providing additional learning opportunities, these classes help students meet the requirements of the Districts’ Raising Expectations Policy, if necessary. Math will take place from 8:00-11:00 a.m. and Reading from 11:30-2:30 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided. Please contact your child’s teacher for more information on either of these classes.
We count on your support for us to be successful. I urge you to stay informed of your child’s academic progress through involvement in Parent-Teacher Conferences and to take advantage of the tutoring programs or Intersession classes as necessary. I look forward to continuing to work with parents and celebrating our future successes.
