Mary Ellen Machain – Registered Occupational Therapist

My passion is working with children. I have fun with the students, while teaching them strategies to help them succeed in the general classroom. I have worked as an Occupational Therapist for 32 years, in a clinical setting for 20 years and in the school setting for 12 years. I believe in learning through play, whether it is strengthening the body, improving fine motor and/or visual motor skills. If warranted, sensory regulation techniques are taught to students and staff working with those students, to help a child better tolerate the sounds, sights, and touch of their surroundings.
