I was born in Tucson, Arizona, and have lived here my entire life. I graduated from Empire High School in 2012, and from the University of Arizona in May 2017. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 9 years old, and after a lot of encouragement and inspiration from some of the amazing teachers that I had throughout the years, I decided to pursue a degree in elementary education at the U of A. I student taught in 5th grade, and this is my second year teaching 5th grade at Sycamore. Over the years, I have developed a passion for teaching, and I have no doubt in my mind that this is the path that I should follow. Outside of school, I enjoy riding and showing horses, crafting and sewing, playing video games, and adding to my collection of rocks and minerals.
I believe that a good education is the most important thing in a child’s life. In order for children to receive a good education, there has to be good teachers. All children have the potential to learn and do great things, and I aspire to be a good teacher that will help children to reach that potential. As a teacher, I believe that my job is to not only educate my students, but also to inspire them and help them to reach heights they never thought they could.
